Humboldt Redwoods State Park
I went to Humboldt by complete chance: I just looked at random forest that was out of reach of Californian wildfires in that season. I was amazed. This feeling can't really be relayed through pictures, but there's something about Humboldt that really struck with me (even compared to likes of Yosemite, Sequoia or Muir). Maybe it's the wet air or (once you go further away from 101) the silence. Maybe it's the specific density of the forest. Either way, it become my instant favorite.
